Sweet Synchronicity; Finding Annie Besant, Discovering Krishnamurti

Like in the film "Julie/Julia" this is the true story of two women who never met--yet somehow I found her, or she found me through a series of synchronistic happenings. Our lives intertwined across time and space profoundly changing my life. She was a master of the invisible interior worlds whereas I am a contemporary woman; an astrologer, mother, wife, and author. I write books on astrology, but this, I dare say, is one of the most unusual stories I've ever heard.

The book is being so well received here in Ojai California where I am now! I'm speaking about it at places like the Ojai Retreat, selling it to shops, giving it to friends....it's wonderful to be in the place Annie Besant and Krishnamurti lived, and to have people familiar with their lives and stories. Here's a message I received yesterday:

"I finished the book tonight with much pleasure. I STRONGLY agree this must be a film—there is greatness and daring and a good story of the 19th century socio-political history of gender and imperialism in Britain---- as well as the spiritual and political evolution of a Great Lady.

Actually, I think it should be a series, like Downton Abbey!"

Elizabeth Spring, MA, has a degree in psychology with a specialty in the work of Carl Jung. She has been a Jungian astrologer and therapist since 1992. Starting in 1987 she has been researching and writing about the lives of Annie Besant and the early Theosophists--especially J. Krishnamurti and Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. She has written two screenplays based on Annie Besant's and Krishnamurti's life, the first receiving the first place award at the Santa Barbara Screenwriter's Guild contest. This blog is the first chapter of the new book she is working on--Elizabeth's other 3 books on astrology have been published by Amazon.com and she is now looking for a traditional publisher for this book.
